.MX To Launch September 1

After a four month delay, Mexico’s .mx ccTLD is preparing for a September 1 public launch.

Pre-registration for these names can completed at a variety of registrars with an opening price of $1000. The initial price will gradually decreace (like a Dutch auction) from September 1 to October 31 when it will reach only $35 per domain. Following this scheme, the price for .mx domain names will settle at $50.
